No, Coronation Street was on directly after the F1, the football was on BBC.
So, they either miss the end of the press conference, or piss off thousands (millions) of old biddies.. ;-) As they are losing F1 at the end of the season, I don't suppose they give a toss about us F1 fans anymore

Come on - fair's fair.
They'll bump almost _anything_ for Coronation Street except football. Even then, they'll reschedule Corrie straight after unlike most shows which they'll simply cancel or postpone for another week.
I doubt it's got anything to do with losing F1, and I am 100% certain it has nothing to do with Hamilton not being involved - it's just that ITV knows where its advertising revenue comes from and what it is (and isn't) contractually obliged to show. It's exactly the same reason it has been (at times) very poor about qualifying.
I also suspect this is a major part of why BBC got the contract. (I'm also hoping that part of that is F1 in HD...please, please, please!)
