Wow, that is a name from the past! I used to subscribe to a MIRG
mailing list that she frequented. About half the time, she was totally
off topic, but once in a while she came up with something pretty good,
for a city dweller. I remember her taking a bunch of flack for saying
that rancid vegetable oils develop carcinogens, which was a truth that
people for some reason didn't want to accept.

I recall the name as well but I can't remember the newsgroup at the
moment. For some reason it seems as if it was a gardening group of

I thought exactly the same (different group though). She dropped off
the screen a long time ago and I wonder what happened to her.Her website
used to feature a terrible doggerel poem, written by some ghastly woman
in Scotland who should have known better than to make fun of Americans'
relationships with pumpkins.
